Insurance Policy
Today, there is a possibility of immediate medical attention for just anybody with a medical
emergency. If insurance premiums could be raised the insurance institutions would be in a
position to pay for an individual's emergency care by India Aeromedical Services. Which means
that insurance would provide coverage benefiting the ordinary individual for medical emergencies
that demand immediate air evacuation of casualties. Prompt, proficient and professional
medical care during emergencies by flying doctors of India Aeromedical Services would become
a commonplace like any other advanced country in the world.
Domestic Insurance
In the current national insurance scenario the GIC does not cover air ambulance services
under any health policy. Insurance companies could include air ambulance services in their
health insurance policies by charging a certain amount of annual premium. This would enable
the ordinary individual to avail of this highly sophisticated medical service. Another option
is that with the privatization of insurance an expensive service like this one can reach the
common man.
As such the aeromedical industry is critically examining its role in the health care reforms
that this country is headed for. Aeromedical services must form a distinct part of any health
plans and programs and in this India Aeromedical Services feels it is poised to play a very
significant role.
International Insurance
A large number of evacuations completed by India Aeromedical Services were for foreigners.
90% of their evacuations were foreign nationals as insurance companies in their home countries
insure them against accidents, severe medical emergencies and air ambulance services.
